Equally useful for rural & urban youths. In fact the workshops are a curious mix of theory followed by live demos and practice sessions.
I highly recommend these workshops for school going & just out of school teens. It will not only make them Gender Sensitive but also empower the girls to defend themselves..

The content, delivery methodology was really appreciated by our female employees and of course by me too. Learning and outcome during the session was eye opener and easy to comply in daily life for not only for women but for a man too. I would expect many more sessions with you in future. Once again Thanks for all the efforts you’re putting in making women safe and strong.

SLAP is doing commendable work during the lock-down, reaching out to vulnerable people by supplying food . . .every bit counts. Their main remit of generating awareness about women's safety is also ongoing despite the lock-down. They have my full support in such initiatives.
Founded in the wake of Nirbhaya gangrape, in 2012, Street Level Awareness Program (SLAP) trains girls and women on situational awareness, self-defense and handling real life threats like eve-teasing, harassment (in public spaces or work place) & assault.
Uniqueness of SLAP's programs lies in the fact that they are open to men/boys participants who wish to learn intervention techniques and join our fight against gender based violence.
SLAP's powerful programs have been supported by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India, US Embassy in India and a host of educational spaces and corporates in Delhi NCR.
